MAID gives control back, with decisions and choices of how you want to be remembered and where you want to spend your last moments alive.  We offer a beautiful space to enable these end of life moments to be cherished.

Many people are rightly scared about the final stage in life.  Why spend last moments in a sterile industrial setting when you can be surrounded by beauty?  We offer spaces that are based in beauty and nature.

We've accompanied individuals who have chosen MAID and it can be a difficult decision yet a beautiful experience for all.  Choose to celebrate life and each other!

What it is and isn't

Choosing medical aid in dying (MAID) over what is strategically misconstrued and misstated as "assisted suicide" involves a compassionate act of self-determination by terminally ill individuals seeking to control the end of their suffering and maintain dignity. Unlike suicide, which is often driven by despair and a desire to end life due to various factors, MAID is a carefully considered option for those facing an inevitable, irreversible decline with a prognosis of six months or less, allowing them to avoid prolonged pain and loss of quality of life.

Autonomy and Dignity

MAID is a reflection of respecting an individual's right to make decisions about their own body and life, particularly when facing a terminal illness and inevitable suffering. It allows individuals to assert their control, values and priorities as death quickly approaches.

Peace of Mind

The availability of MAID can provide significant peace of mind to terminally ill individuals, knowing they have the option to control their final moments and avoid a potentially protracted and painful decline.

Alleviation of Suffering

For those with terminal illnesses, MAID provides a peaceful and controlled end, preventing the prolonged and potentially excruciating suffering that can accompany the dying process. It ensures the individual is not forced to endure a prolonged and agonizing dying experience, which is seen as a humane alternative to uncontrolled suffering.

Patient-Directed Care

MAID embodies a person-directed approach to end-of-life care, where the patient's wishes and preferences are central to the decision-making process.
